It looks like I now have to step up my game. #ItsAllAboutTheJourney https://t.co/dVaGsGGe6x

Stevens was among the passengers most seriously injured in the Jan. 11, 2019 OC Transpo bus crash at the Westboro station. Both her legs were amputated above the knee.

On Saturday morning, Stevens was surprised to see The Rock’s response: “IronHell sounds and looks like paradise to me!” he wrote. “Time to get after it Marcie!”

“It was unexpected,” she admitted in a virtual appearance on Monday on Move 100.3’s (formerly known as Majic100) morning radio show with hosts Stuntman Stu Schwartz, Angie Poirier and Janel Steeper. “I just did it for the fun of it.

“You should have seen me in the morning when I got the tweet. It was sunny and I was dancing around the kitchen because I was making breakfast for the kids and the family, and then I showed it to my husband and he looked at me and he says ‘I hate you right now.’

“And now I have to step up my game.”

Stevens then got another surprise, one to help her step up her game, when the hosts told her that Barrhaven Ford was giving her a $1,000 Sport Chek gift card, while Canadian Tire was matching that with a $1,000 gift card to its stores.

“I’m a little bit speechless, which is unusual for me,” Stevens said. “I’m thankful for everything that everybody has done for me. I’m blessed to be alive, and all of this wouldn’t have been possible without the great nurses and doctors at The Ottawa Hospital. So I’m thankful.”
