Lidl Just Saved Our Thighs By Releasing At Home Gym Equipment

by fitness journalist

Lockdown has gone two ways for most people, either you have set up your home gyms and are keeping active, or you have embraced the chilled out, non-moving life.

However, for all the non-movers, this could be because you don’t have the right equipment available for exercise, and that’s where Lidl is here to help.

On Thursday 23rd April, Lidl will release a collection of exercise equipment including a rowing machine, a workout bike and weights. So there’s really no excuses now for not staying fit.

Available in all stores will be the Ergometer bike from ChrisTopEit. The bike includes four individual programmes along with one manual and one body fat program.

The bike will measure your speed, time, distance, approx calories and heart rate. Priced at €239.99, you can’t go wrong, it’s an investment really.

Another piece we’ll be adding to our home gyms, i.e the back garden, is the Crivit Rowing Machine.

This is the perfect machine for working your legs, shoulders, arms, and abs meaning you’ll be coming out of quarantine looking and feeling better than when it began!

For €229.99, you’ll be able to see your training time, distance, strokes per minute, total distance and calories burned. We’ll take two, please.

Also available in Lidl will be the Samsung Galaxy Efit watch, so that you’re kept accountable for all this exercise. It will track your steps, your running and workouts, your heart rate and your sleep and rest time.

You can also receive notifications on it so you can keep in touch while getting those steps up. Available for €34.99 in Lidl.

If you’re more into your weights then fear not as there’s something for you too. There is a 10.5kg dumbbell set available and you just add different plates so you can set it lighter if you need to. Available for €19.99.

There is also 10kg kettlebells available for just €22.99 so no excuse for not getting a few kettlebell swings in during the home workout.

Also available to buy will be an exercise ball (€7.99), an exercise mat (€6.99), a yoga mat (€9.99), sandbag trainers (from €14.99-€29.99) and a multi-trainer (€39.99).

Catch us first in line at Lidl on Thursday 23rd, making sure we look our best coming out of quarantine.
